Barton Upon Humber Town Council are inviting you to apply for a D-Day 80^th Anniversary Commemoration Grant to hold a public event within Barton Upon Humber. Community events and commemorative activity should be inclusive to the general public. Completed application forms must be received with all supporting information by 12 noon on 30^th April.

The Town Council flag will be lowered to half mast on the afternoon of Monday 22nd January 2024 until the morning of Monday 29th January 2024 as a mark of respect for Mrs Gillian Nicholson who served as Mayoress with Councillor Nigel Pinchbeck 2017-2019 and Mrs Janet Oxley who served as a Town Councillor for many years and was Mayor 1995-1996, 2004-2005 and 2013-2014. Both have served their community and our sincere condolences have been conveyed to their families.

Commemorate the monumental 80th anniversary of D-Day with community grant funding. Community groups and voluntary organisations across North Lincolnshire can get up to £250 to help them commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy in June 2024. Deadline for applications is Monday 22nd January 2024. Please email communitygrants@northlincs.gov.uk

It’s the final Barton Town Market of 2023 on Saturday 2nd December. Come along to the Market Place and Butchery between 08:00 and 14:00 for your fresh local produce, sweet treats and local crafts.

We will return in 2024 with our first market being held on Saturday 3rd February.

The Town Council Office will be closed on Thursday 23rd November for one day and will be open on Friday 24th November as normal 9am until 1pm.
